Eligibility
Qualifications for Applying as an International Student
- Applicant should meet at least one of the following eligibility clauses
A. The applicant and both parents are of a nationality other than Korean
B. The applicant has completed their entire 16-years education from elementary school to university outside of Korea

   1) The applicant has obtained or is expected to obtain a Bachelor's degree from a univeristy located either in Korea or outside of Korea

   2) The applicant is legally recognized as having obtained a degree equal to or higher than the degree stated above

   3) The applicant is able to graduate by August 2021

B. Doctorate Degree

   1) The applicant has obtained or is expected to obtain a Master's degree from a univeristy located either in Korea or outside of Korea

   2) The applicant is legally recognized as having obtained a degree equal to or higher than the degree stated above

   3) The applicant is able to graduate by August 2021

※ For students expected to obtain degrees, acceptance will be canceled if he or she has not obtained the degree before admission
Korean or English Language Proficiency [Applicable for both the master's degree course and the Ph. D. degree course (including the combined master's and Ph. D. degree course)]
A. Students who have obtained TOPIK grade 3 or above for Korean language proficiency
(However, for students with TOPIK grade 3, grade 4 or above must be obtained before their thesis examination)
B. Students who lack Korean language proficiency and obtained at least the following scores in English language proficiency tests:
TOEFL (PBT 550, CBT 210, iBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550 (before revision) / 297(after revision)
(※ Applicants from countries with English as the spoken language may be exempt from submitting the English language proficiency test score report. However, applicants who wish to receive the International Student Scholarship must submit an official English language test score report)
C. Scholarship is awarded at a differential rate depending on the score for the Korean or English language proficiency test
D. Applicants who do not have the Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) or English Proficiency Test scores may apply if the department deems it possible, but must meet the head of the relevant department and submit a letter of recommendation. Screening Method and Procedure
Screening Method
Screening will be performed based on the criteria for the document, oral (interview), or written (practical) evaluation established by the department. For oral (interview) evaluation, the ability to attend classes held in Korean and study the major field will be evaluated

※ Personal information collected (foreign registration number or resident registration number, name, email, mobile phone number, educational history, etc.) during the international student admission process of this graduate school will not be used for any purpose other than the admission screening. However, the applicant's consent on the collection and use of personal information is required for submission of his or her application personal as the personal information for admitted students are used to generate their school register.
- Submission of the consent form for the collection and use of personal information is required (Please refer to [Attachment 5] in the application document list)

      ▷ Bank statements with around $20,000 in either the applicant's or the applicant's financial guarantor's name.

      (This is interchangeable with an amount over 140,000 CNY or 23,000,000 KRW)

      ▷ Bank statements must be dated within the last 30 days. However, bank statements with an expiration date are vaild until the expiration date. (Please note that such bank statements are vaild for up to 6 months from the day of issue).

      Cautions
      A. This admission is carried out at the Songsim Campus.
      B. Applicants who do not submit the required documents within the deadline are automatically disqualified.
      C. Information contained at the applications shall not be changed, and the submitted documents and the screening fee will not be returned.
      C-1) Documents which cannot be reissued will be returned after the successful applicants have been announced.
      C-2) When the applicant fails to apply because of a health emergency caused by a disaster, disease or other accidents, or other problems beyond control by the applicant. In this case, a refund application may be submitted together with the proof of emergency, within three days after the screening day. The application will be subject to evaluation and refunds may be given in partial or full according to the result.
      C-3) Applicants may be allowed a refund should total admission fees collected fall more than the estimated amount. In case of a bank transfer, the applicant should shoulder the transaction charges of refunded fees.
      D. Grades at the screening examination are not disclosed.
      E. If candidates are found out using inappropriate methods, the admission to the school may be canceled at any time.
